A traditional Italian sweet bread that is typically enjoyed during the Easter period throughout italy. It has a distinctive dove which in the Christian tradition is a symbol of peace and love and well alongside the egg that represents the Resurrection.
just before going in the oven it has been glazed with a nutty cracklin.
a 3 days long and slow fermentation results in a delicate and fluffy texture, heavy on the candied citrus - probably the best colomba you will ever have, you're welcome.
